I know it's a little late to be doing much resolving, in fact this is the time when the idealistic goals of the new year start getting ditched for something called mid-January REALITY. But seeing as one of my friends has convinced me to join the cult of hot yoga, and Pinkberry just moved into my UES 'hood, I think I need to work out some kind of plan to punish and reward myself accordingly.
The problem is that I would go to Pinkberry every day if I didn't have some other reason NOT to go. They are open pretty late. They have eighteen different toppings for me to try. They are only 25 calories an ounce. They have beneficial bacteria for my digestive system. They charge about 5 bucks for a small with two toppings. That adds up to... no I don't even want to think about it.
My faves are:
Plain, Cookies n' cream
Plain, Raspberry and chocolate chip
Plain, Strawberry and granola
It feels healthy, but it also feels really good. Like, too good to be healthy. And not healthy for my pocketbook. So I'm going to start going to yoga every time I feel like going to Pinkberry, to hopefully sweat it out of my system. And if that doesn't work, then I will just give myself a free ticket to Pinkberry for trying. One good thing about hot yoga is not having to do downward dog. Ever. I bought a ten-class card.
While I'm on the subject of frozen yogurt, let me say I tried Bloomingdales' and it sucked. It tasted like frozen aspartame. I couldn't even finish a small. Pinkberry is perfect. It is also fun just to sit in there, watch upper east side ladies walk by and want to know what's going on, what is this place, what are the flavors (UES is a Tasti D stronghold), what do you mean "plain"? Eww it tastes like icy yogurt, come on Muffy let's go to Tasti D and fill up our punchcard.
It's 30 degrees outside and I want some right now.
